My role at the Simms/Mann Center is to raise support for the Center, both now and to ensure its programs and services can continue in perpetuity. I’m inspired everyday by the incredible clinicians at the Simms/Mann Center and the whole-person cancer care they provide. The Center is unique in its offerings, and I feel honored to raise funds for a cause that makes a difference in the lives of so many affected by cancer.
Education & Professional Work
I received my B.S. in Economics from Point Loma Nazarene University, and while in school, found a passion for fundraising and development while working for nonprofits in San Diego. After college, I joined the Foundation Relations team at UC Santa Barbara, where I worked with faculty across campus to raise support for their research. I then moved to San Francisco, to join the team at The Nature Conservancy, where I held positions in Corporate and Foundation Relations, Individual Giving, and Planning Giving. My current role at the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation combines pieces from each of my experiences, and I couldn’t ask for a more dynamic and inspiring role.
Outside of work, I’m a social butterfly and love to be outside in nature, with friends and my dog, whenever I can. Being in the ocean is my happiest place, and the place where I feel the most present and connected to myself and the world around me.
