Mark Buchanan, M.Div.
I am a pastor, author, storyteller, chaplain intern and team member at the Simms Mann Center. I share in the mission of extending psychological, social and spiritual support to those whose lives have been touched by cancer. I have worked for 3 decades in multi-cultural settings, helping people discover the sacredness of life and the fulfillment of shared concern for one another. I have put my commitment to journeying with others into practice as I make room for others’ physical, emotional and spiritual distress, open myself to hear their stories and provide them support in which they can creatively live out the next chapter. It is a privilege to be a part of the integrative care the Simms Mann Center provides.
In my personal life, I am both a theological book worm and a lover of the outdoors. I enjoy carpentry, gardening and camping. I am a life long student of the theology of hope. I am married and the father of four children.
