On April 29, 2019, Simms/Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology chaplain, Michael Eselun, BCC, was one of seven inducted to the 2019 class of the UCLA Eudaimonia Society. The Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Eudaimonia Society was created to recognize members of the UCLA community who exemplify Eudaimonia by living a life full of purpose and meaning. Michael was nominated by 10 members of the UCLA community and selected for his compassion and ability to help cancer patients find meaning and hope in their experience.
In addition to the induction to the UCLA Eudaimonia Society, Michael was also selected as a featured speaker during the TEDxUCLA Salon exploring Compassion – what it is, and why we want more of it.
