Socal Women’s Cancer Conference Talks
The Socal Women’s Cancer Conference presented by the Riverside Community Health Foundation was held in October 2020. Our Integrative oncology specialist, Carolyn Katzin, MS, CNS, MNT, and staff clinician, Sharon Loewenbein, LCSW, were asked to be speakers for this conference. Both of their talks are now available to view on the conference website. Registration is free and required to access both talks and the other resources provided by the Conference.
About The Talks

This talk discusses how to improve your well-being during and after a diagnosis of cancer, how nutrition plays a critical role in support of the treatment of cancer and in recovery and how to support wellness in a consistent manner despite health challenges. Participants will be able to identify which types of cancer directly affect metabolism of food and how treatment may impact nutritional status. This session will also discuss how nutrition status may be enhanced even after a cancer diagnosis with foods that are rich in the 3 A’s. Foods rich in these bioactives support health and well-being.
