A workshop focused on the psychosocial impact of cancer on body image.
Cancer treatment often brings unwanted changes to our bodies and physical appearances. These changes such as weight loss/gain, scarring, hair loss, and breast or skin changes can also have an impact on our emotional wellbeing and self-esteem. In this one-time workshop, we will focus on the psychosocial impact of cancer on body image. Participants will have the opportunity to explore this topic in a safe environment with other patients and survivors and learn about strategies to cope with these challenges and cultivate a sense of self-embrace.
Please note, this workshop is designed for women undergoing active treatment and/or within 3-6 months post treatment.
